How to match full floating piston pin and connecting rod bushing?
2018-04-03
During
maintenance, if the clearance between the piston pin and the connecting
rod bushing is too large, or when the piston and the piston pin are
replaced, the connecting rod bush must be replaced to ensure its normal
fit. Connecting
rod bushings and connecting rod small holes should be fitted with a
proper amount of interference to prevent the bushes from rotating or
axially moving during operation. The new bush can be pressed into the small end of the connecting rod with a vise. There
are no machining allowances for the connecting rod bushings of some
engines, and there is no need for repairing the pressurised connecting
rod bushings. For
bushes with machining allowances, the following repairs shall be
performed after the small heads of the connecting rod wear sleeves are
pressed: (1) The connecting rod bushes are reamed or boring, and the
machining allowance is controlled to avoid the bushings. The hole hinge is large or large. (2) Insert the piston pin into the bush for grinding. Hold
the piston pin in a vise, inject a small amount of lubricant into the
piston pin and bushing, rotate the link back and forth and move back and
forth along the axis of the piston pin. Until
the connecting rod makes a 75° angle with the horizontal plane, the
piston pin can stay in the bushing hole. When the connecting rod is
gently tapped, the piston pin slowly descends in the bushing hole, and
the end is completed. (3)
After grinding, the clearance between the piston pin and the connecting
rod bushing should generally be 0.004~0.010mm, and the contact area
between the piston pin and the bushing should be above 75%.
